About Us
WHO WE ARE
Compassion That Leads
to Action
Milia Charity Foundation (MCF) is a faith-based charitable organization serving underprivileged children and families. Our work spans education, clean water and basic amenities, family support, and care for survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, and drug addiction.
We believe lasting change begins with dignity. Every person we serve is a person first, never a case number. We walk alongside communities with compassion, listen before we act, and build programmes that protect, restore, and empower.

MEET OUR FOUNDER
Emilia Ubanwa
Emilia Ubanwa is a counsellor, mental health practitioner, physiotherapist, and entrepreneur. Growing up in Lawanson, Lagos, she saw many children go without clean water, clothing, and education. Some suffered physical and sexual abuse as teenagers, and others were drawn into crime through poverty and a lack of support. These childhood experiences gave her a lifelong passion to protect vulnerable children and create meaningful opportunities for underserved families, women, and children.
Her values are rooted in her Christian faith. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, a passion for people, and the support of mentors and friends, she founded Milia Charity Foundation on the belief that lasting change begins when people are given the support, knowledge, and opportunities they need to stand on their own.
Through the Foundation, Emilia works alongside humanitarian organizations, international organizations, local community leaders, schools, educational institutions, religious organizations, and individuals to build safer, stronger communities for all. She leads MCF’s work across education, support, underprivileged families, and care for survivors of abuse and addiction.
This vision continues to shape the Foundation’s commitment to serving with compassion,
integrity and purpose.
